„Luxembourg is still almost uncharted territory for many producers and filmmakers from NRW. Conversely, filmmakers from Luxembourg sometimes have vague notions about NRW’s film hub and its players. The Co-Production Meeting Luxembourg@NRW intends to remedy this and promote the contacts between filmmakers from both countries“, says Petra Müller, CEO of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. „I wish all participants a creative workshop, good conversations and, above all, ideas and prospects for future collaboration.“

The delegations from NRW and Luxembourg are presenting their respective film funding programmes during the co-production meeting. This is being followed by a closer look at two films which were both supported by the Filmstiftung NRW and the Film Fund Luxembourg through case studies. Discussion will initially centre on „Hannah Arendt“ by Margarethe von Trotta, and then follow with „Die Räuber“ by Pol Cruchten and Frank Hoffmann. The case studies are being presented by the producers involved. They will be available for conversations after the presentations. The evening get-together is an opportunity to intensify existing contacts and develop new connections.
