German Pavilion“ at the 69th Cannes International Film Festival (11 – 22 May): platform for the German film scene

German Films and FOCUS Germany join forces to showcase their activities in the „German Pavilion“

The „German Pavilion“ in the International Village of the Marché du Film has now been a long-established meeting place and contact point for accredited festival delegates from the German and international film industries during the international film festival in Cannes. The German Pavilion’s location, right next to the Festival Palais and between the sea and the Croisette, is ideal for making contacts and having conversations, appointments as well as discussions about projects in a relaxed atmosphere a little removed from the festival’s hurly-burly.

Lounges and the sun terrace will again be available this year for visitors to hold their meetings. You can receive expert advice at the information stands of German Films and FOCUS Germany in the entrance area. The pavilion underwent a revamp with a new design since its 15th anniversary last year.

The „German Pavilion“ is organised by German Films, the national information and advice centre for the international promotion of German films, and FOCUS Germany, the amalgamation of the seven major regional film funds. The following institutions are represented: FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, and nordmedia – Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen/Bremen mbH; the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media (BKM), the German Federal Film Board (FFA), and German Films Service + Marketing GmbH.

The telephone and fax numbers of the „German Pavilion“ will be announced at a later date.
