"A E I O U – A Quick Alphabet Of Love" by writer-director Nicolette Krebitz looks at love from a new angle. The film tells the story of the actress Anna, who is attacked outside a bar in West Berlin. A young man rushes up to her, takes her handbag and runs off into the night. A short time later, they meet again. Anna (Sophie Rois) and Adrian (Milan Herms). This time, she is his teacher and is supposed to teach him how to speak. Both of them are at a distance from normallife, a step outside of society. Soon, the lessons turn into more and they decide to take on the rest of the world. They leave the city and travel to the coast in France. The film is a Komplizen Film production in co-production with Kazak Productions (FR) and kineo Filmproduktion (DE) with participation from broadcasters SWR / Arte. Port au Prince will release the film in German cinemas. The Filmstiftung NRW backed the project with 100,000 Euros. Additional support came from MBB, MDM, BKM, FFA and DFFF. The Match Factory will be handling international distribution.
