The six-part espionage thriller plays out against the backdrop of dramatic developments at the beginning of the last century – when the western world is in great turmoil and the First World War is raging in Europe. At the centre is the young Swiss nurse Johanna Gabathuler, played by Dominique Devenport, who unexpectedly finds herself caught between the two fronts of spies secretly operating in Davos.
