The Cinema Program Award honors movie theaters in North Rhine-Westphalia that contribute to the state’s film culture with a particularly diverse and sophisticated cinema program.

First, please check whether you meet the funding criteria. The Cinema Program Award is intended for cinema operators and organizers of film programs in North Rhine-Westphalia who contribute to the state’s film culture through an outstanding program and, in particular, give appropriate consideration to German and European films.

- Additional information and supporting documents as required by the application form
- Current photos of the movie theater
- Current bank account information
If a movie theater has multiple screens, the information should be combined into a single application. The old guidelines explicitly require an application, a description, and a complete screening schedule; I would not carry over the previous requirements for paper submissions for the relaunch.
