Games Funded by North Rhine-Westphalia Nominated Multiple Times for the 2026 German Computer Game Award
Great joy at the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW: Several funded productions have been nominated for the 2026 German Computer Game Award (DCP). The German games industry’s most prestigious award annually honors the outstanding quality, innovative strength, and cultural relevance of games “made in Germany.”
The NRW-funded game “Tiny Bookshop” (neoludic games / Skystone Games) has made an impression in two categories: It is nominated for both Best German Game and the Newcomer Award: Best Debut. The project thus continues on its successful path and impressively underscores the creative potential of the NRW indie scene.
Funded titles are also represented in other categories:
“Super Meat Boy 3D” (Sluggerfly / Headup) is nominated for Best Game Design.
In the Best Mobile Game category, “MicroMacro: Downtown Detective” (Soft Boiled Games) is in the running.
The winners of the 2026 German Computer Game Award will be announced on April 29, 2026, in the Herkulessaal of the Munich Residenz. The awards ceremony will be livestreamed, and starting April 1, weekly pre-shows will offer insights into the nominated projects.
The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW will also be on site to cover the ceremony.
