gamescom 2022: Over 550 exhibitors and 27 country pavilions
Just another four weeks to go and it’ll be that time of year again: gamescom, the world’s largest games event, will be opening its doors to games fans and trade visitors at the Cologne Exhibition Centre from 23 to 28 August. More than 550 exhibitors have already registered for gamescom 2022, the proportion of international companies attending is over 70 percent, with a total of 27 country pavilions now registered.
One of the highlights alongside the trade fair is the gamescom event arena in Hall 6. For four days, fans can come and go without an additional ticket and experience the various events at their leisure. The planned events include:
Thursday: an event produced by Funcom and The Outsiders to accompany their new game "Metal: Hellsinger", bringing the worlds of gaming and music together in a unique way.
Friday: various creator activations from and with AMD
Saturday and Sunday: "Snapdragon Pro Series" mobile esports tournaments hosted by ESL Gaming and Qualcomm
The big opening show gamescom: Opening Night Live – tickets will go on sale from the beginning of August – will kick off proceedings in the event arena on Tuesday evening.
Companies attending gamescom in-person in Cologne include: 2K, 505 Games, Aerosoft, Amazon Web Services, AMD, Assemble Entertainment, astragon Entertainment, Bandai Namco, BenQ, Daedalic Entertainment, ESL Gaming, GIANTS Software, HandyGames, HoYoverse, Humble Games, HyperX, Kalypso Media Group, Koch Media, KRAFTON, Level Infinite (Tencent), MEDION, Neowiz, NetEase Games, Pico Interactive Pte, Raw Fury, Razer, Samsung, SEGA Europe, SteelSeries, TaleWorlds Entertainment, Team17, THQ Nordic, Thunderful, TikTok, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Games, Western Digital, Xbox and Xsolla, and many more.
Australia is this year’s partner country at gamescom. A delegation of 37 Australian games development studios will be presenting their work in Cologne.
