German MIP Cocktail

NRW, Berlin-Brandenburg, Hamburg, Baden-Württemberg and German Films come together to host an industry get-together in Cannes

On the occasion of the MIPCOM in Cannes, the German MIP Cocktail will be held again on Monday, 7 October, 2013. Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg are joint hosts for the sixth time this year with Berlin Partner, ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg (ZAB), Entertainment Master Class (EMC), Hamburg@work, MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg and German Films. The reception is now regarded as  the traditional meeting place for the German and international MIP delegates at the start of the market.

The MIPCOM (7 to 10 October, 2013) is the world’s most important market for entertainment content. Approx. 13,000 international participants – producers, sellers, buyers as well as financiers and distributors – and around 1,700 exhibitors from over 100 countries are expected.

This year will again see the nominees for the  International Emmys being announced during the MIPCOM (7 October). The awards ceremony for the best international television programmes takes place in New York on 25 November.
