German MIP Cocktail in Cannes
10th Joint Industry Get-Together by NRW and Berlin-Brandenburg
The Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Deutsche Welle Transtel will be joining forces on Monday, October 5, 2015 with Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft und Technologie, the ZukunftsAgentur Brandenburg (ZAB), the Entertainment Master Class (EMC), MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg, nordmedia – Film- und Mediengesellschaft Niedersachsen/Bremen and German Films to host the German MIP Cocktail at C21 on Cannes' Croisette for MIPCOM 2015.
The reception, which is being held for the 10th time this year, is considered to be one of the most important events for the German and international MIP delegates coming as it does at the beginning of the market. DW Transtel will be participating as an exclusive cooperation partner to mark its anniversary: the sales arm of the Deutsche Welle is celebrating its 50th year of operations in 2015.
The MIPCOM (October 5 – 8, 2015) is the world’s most important market for entertainment content and the leading trade fair for audiovisual content. The most important operators in the international film and TV industries present the latest trends, newest content and technological innovations each year to around 13,000 participants.
In addition, the nominees for the International Emmy Awards will be announced during the market on October 5. The awards ceremony for the best international TV programmes will be held in New York on November 23. (www.iemmys.tv)
