„German Pavilion“ at Cannes: Platform for the German film scene
German Films and FOCUS Germany will be having a joint presence for the 13th time in the „German Pavilion“ at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival
The “German Pavilion” in the International Village of the Marché du Film has been a popular platform for several years for the accredited festival visitors from the German and international film industry in Cannes to meet each other and exchange information. The location of the pavilion right next to the Festival Palais is ideal for a visit to make interesting new contacts or to spend time browsing through the latest trades on the attractive terrace by the beach. The view of the sea and the Croisette as well as the relaxed atmosphere in the pavilion not only provide a chance to have a break from the hurly-burly of the festival, but also to draw inspiration for new projects and conversations.
German Films and FOCUS Germany, the umbrella of the seven main regional film funds, have been organising the „German Pavilion" now for the past thirteen years.
The following institutions are represented in the "German Pavilion":
FilmFernsehFonds Bayern, Filmförderung Hamburg-Schleswig Holstein, Film- und Medienstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, MFG Baden-Württemberg, Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, and nordmedia Fonds Niedersachsen Bremen; the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media (BKM), the German Federal Film Board (FFA) and German Films Service & Marketing GmbH.
The telephone and fax numbers of the „German Pavilion“ will be announced at a later date.
