ITVS impact PIXEL MARKET 2013 prize announced
The ITVS (Independent Television Service) is offering a brand new prize at this year’s Pixel Market for the best project making a social impact. Projects can be fiction or non-fiction, with the winner of the ITVS Impact Pixel Market Prize being awarded $4,500 in development funding with the U.S. public service broadcaster.
There are 30 places available for The Pixel Market 2013, the world’s first and foremost marketplace for international teams with a strong track record in film, broadcast, interactive media and relevant creative industries. Selected teams will benefit from international publicity and will have their projects showcased in front of the most influential people and businesses working in the cross-media space.
Selected teams will also be in the running to win three established awards:
- the 6,000€ ARTE International Prize for The Pixel Pitch.
Eight of the 30 teams battle it out at The Pixel Pitch competition, presenting to an international panel for feedback in front of a 400-strong public audience! - the beActive Pixel Market Prize for Best Scripted Content worth £2,500
- the Cinekid Pixel Market Prize for Best Children’s Project (4–14 year olds), which will get you automatic selection to Cinekid for Professionals co-production market in October, plus return travel and two nights accommodation in Amsterdam!
Extended submissions deadline: THURSDAY 1 AUGUST, 18.00 BST
The Pixel Market takes place on 16 & 17 October, at the heart of PttP’s 7th Cross-Media Forum (15–18 October), held in association with the 57th BFI London Film Festival.
16 Oct, The Pixel Pitch (public day): 8 of the 30 international teams go head to head to win ARTE’s 6,000€ International Prize for The Pixel Pitch
17 Oct, The Market Meetings (invitation only): 360 one-to-one meetings for all 30 teams and 100+ financiers working in multi-platform, interactive storytelling
