Nominations for the 2026 German Television Award

The independent jury of the German Television Award, chaired by Stephan Lamby, announced the nominations on August 26. Three productions funded by the Film Foundation were nominated. Four nominations went to “Hundertdreizehn” (ARD/Degeto/ORF/WDR/Windlight Pictures/Satel Film): Best Drama Series, Best Direction in a Fiction Series, Best Screenplay in a Fiction Series, and Best Editing in a Fiction Series. Derya Akyol was nominated for Best Actress for her work in “Euphorie” (RTL+/Zeitsprung Pictures), and “1994 World Cup – Eleven Heroes, One Nightmare” (ARD/NDR/BR/WDR/Broadview TV) was nominated for Best Documentary Series “1994 World Cup – Eleven Heroes, One Nightmare” (ARD/NDR/BR/WDR/Broadview TV).

The 2026 German Television Award will be presented on September 8 and 9 in Cologne. For the first time, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW is also serving as a partner.
