NRW at the Rhineland Co-Production Meeting in Strasbourg
Welcome to Strasbourg! The Rhineland Co-Production Meeting/Forum Alentours (July 1–3) is kicking off: Ten production companies from NRW are taking the opportunity to discuss potential collaborations with colleagues from Germany, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
Five projects from NRW were selected for the pitch sessions, including the youth drama “Trainrider” (Eyrie Entertainment/Orange Roughy Filmproduktion), funded by the Film Foundation, and the thriller series “What the Hell!?!?” (Good Karma Fiction International). Also being presented are “Close to Hanna” (Filmbetrieb) and “Der Krebs” (Tokara Media), as well as the thriller “Farbe des Lichts” (Storytelle by Tellux Film), which has been nominated for the CinEuro Co-Production Award.
Cologne-based DEKORFILM, Ester.Reglin.Film, Florianfilm, and Peak Point Pictures will also participate in the meeting.
The program also includes a case study on the MEDIA-funded co-production “Petty Thieves” by Mate Ugrin. Julia Cöllen (Fünferfilm, DE) and Tiphaine Robion (In the Cut, FR) will discuss their collaboration and the project’s financing.
Heike Meyer-Döring (Creative Europe Desk NRW) will moderate and provide an overview of co-development funding.
Further information is available on the Forum Alentours website.
