RTL-CEO Anke Schäferkordt to receive International Emmy Directorate Award

Anke Schäferkordt, Chief Executive Officer of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland and Co-CEO of RTL Group – the leading European entertainment network and one of the world’s largest production companies – will receive the 2013 International Emmy Directorate Award at the 41st International Emmy Awards on Monday, November 25th in New York City.

Her passion for programming, combined with a long-view strategic approach, make her an outstanding leader in the international TV industry. Anke Schäferkordt joined the market-leading German commercial broadcaster RTL Television in 1991, rising through the company’s ranks to become CEO of RTL Television as well as CEO of the Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland in 2005. Since April 2012, she has been Co-CEO of RTL Group.

The NRW-presentation at the International Emmys is presented by Land NRW, in cooperation with Landesanstalt für Medien (LfM) and Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.

Medienland NRW ande International TV Academy cooperate since 2009. By the end of june this years "NRW Emmy Judgings" in  took place, which is the jury-meeting for this years International Emmy’s pre-judgings.
