EWIP 2021: Call for Entries!

The fourth edition of the industry event European Work in Progress Cologne (EWIP) will take place from 19 - 21 October ahead of the Film Festival Cologne (21 - 28 October). European Work in Progress Cologne is mainly supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.

German Pavilion at the Marché du Film Cannes

Today marks the start of the Festival de Cannes which has selected five films backed by the Filmstiftung. This year, the German film industry is once again present at the Marché du Film: with an umbrella stand jointty organised by German Films and FOCUS Germany, the amalgamation of the eight largest German regional film funds, which has been reduced in size due to the pandemic.

"Onoda – 10,000 Nights in the Jungle" opening film of Un Certain Regard

A total of five Filmstiftung-backed films will be screened in the programme at the 74th Festival de Cannes (July 6-17, 2021). "Onoda – 10,000 Nights in the Jungle", which was also backed by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, has just been announced as the opening film of Un Certain Regard. 

ANGA COM DIGITAL from 8 to 10 June 2021

ANGA COM DIGITAL - the virtual event launched by the Exhibition and Conference for Broadband, Television & Online - will take place from 8 to 10 June 2021 on a new, AI-supported digital event platform which, enables online-optimized company presences and various networking options. 

European Games Coproduction Market

European Games Coproduction Market programme by SpielFabrique aims to foster coproduction projects between indie game studios in Europe. The market is composed of several milestones’ events and activities, such as pitching training and mentoring. A call for applications is open for German Indie Game Studios until the 5th April 2021.

Sunny Side of the Doc: Open Calls

Sunny Side of the Doc will take place from 21 to 24 June in La Rochelle (France) and online. The hybrid edition's central theme is #StorytellingMatters. The projects submissions to the 32nd edition of the international marketplace for documentary and narrative experiences are open and accepting proposals with international potential until 22 April.
