The drama "To the Death of My Mother" is a production by Walker + Worm Film with the participation of broadcaster BR. Juliane is 33 years old. Her mother Kerstin is 64 and seriously ill. Kerstin is living in a nursing home. She now wants to die and stops eating and drinking. The drama has Birte Schnöink playing the daughter who is accompanying her mother (Elsie de Brauw) to her death. Writer-director Jessica Krummacher ("Totem") wrote the script based on her own experiences. Grandfilm will be releasing the production which was mainly shot in NRW. The Filmstiftung NRW backed the project with 200,000 Euros. Additional support came from FFF Bayern, the Kuratorium junger deutscher Film, BKM and DFFF.
