German film funds support Ukrainian film community with 100,000 Euros

In light of the humanitarian emergency and war in Ukraine, solidarity is more important than ever: the German film funds strongly condemn Putin’s invasion and wish to send a sign of solidarity with Ukrainian filmmakers and their families by this joint initiative.

The German film funds are to donate a total of 100,000 Euros to the "Emergency Fund for Filmmakers" which was set up by the "International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk" (ICFR) at short notice because of the war in Ukraine.

At the same time, the German film funds express their great respect for all those Russian filmmakers who are publicly and visibly opposing the war.

The ICFR stands up for persecuted and endangered filmmakers around the globe and fights to ensure that they can continue their work even under adverse conditions.
