European Work in Progress Cologne 2020: Partners & Award Sponsors
European co-productions will be acknowledged with awards in a total value of €37.500. For the first time, awards will include dubbing services
Never change a winning team: The third edition of European Work in Progress Cologne (EWIP) continues the successful cooperation with the partners and award sponsors of the last years and even takes on a new award.
For the first time, the European Work in Progress K13 Studios Award will not only include sound-mixing support worth € 10.000, but also dubbing services worth an additional € 5.000. After they were already on board in 2018, MMC Studios Köln return as partners, making the best use of their synergies at the North Rhine-Westphalia site as part of the European Work in Progress Cologne.
Returning award sponsors include LAVAlabs Moving Images, endowed with post-production services worth € 10.000, ARRI Media, awarding post-production services worth € 5.000, and the ZOOM Medienfabrik, supporting the winners with international festival public relations services worth € 7.500.
This year, 28 features and documentaries intended for international cinema evaluation were chosen. The Jury, comprised of Triin Tramberg, programme coordinator and head of Creative Gate for Tallinn Black Nights Festival, Leslie Chen, Senior Advisor of Blossoms Entertainment, Melanie Andernach, CEO and co-founder of MADE IN GERMANY Filmproduktion, as well as Sebastian Lückel (head of acquisitions, co-productions and programming at ARD Degeto), will once again acknowledge the winners of the best pitches with awards in a total value of € 37.000.
European Work in Progress Cologne (EWIP) is mainly supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, one of Europe’s leading film funding institutions.
The industry event takes place in cooperation with AG Verleih, the association of German independent film distributors, from 5-7 October, 2020 during the 30th edition of the Film Festival Cologne. The new event location is the Cinenova cinema.
Besides the Film Festival Cologne, other partners include the Creative Desks Germany and NRW, the City of Cologne and The Midtown Hotel.
For participation a prior registration is required. The industry event will take place in compliance with the applicable rules of social distancing and hygiene standards.
