Franco-German acceleration programme selected 2 teams in partnership with ARTE!

30 June 2106 – Düsseldorf, SpielFabrique, the Franco German acceleration programme for video games under the patronage of the French Economic Minister Axelle Lemaire and greatly supported by the Film and Media Fund NRW (Germany), is pleased to announce the results of the first jury that took place on June 21st in Angouleme at the CNAM-Enjmin school.

After debate, the 2 selected projects are Panopticon from students of Cnam Enjmin and Isometric Epilepsy from Students of Cologne Game Lab.

The jury composed of Frédérique Doumic from Ouat Entertainment (representing the SNJV Trade Association) (F), Thomas Friedmann from Innogames (representing BIU Trade Association)(D), Stéphane Natkin from Cnam-Enjmin (F), Gundolf Freyermuth from Cologne Game Lab (D), Till Hardy from Film and Media Fund NRW (D), Adrien Larouzée from Arte France (F/D), Benoît Le Pichon from Microsoft (F), Istvan Tajnay from Blue Byte (D), and Odile Limpach from SpielFabrique were very pleased with the presented projects and the quality of the pitches and prototypes.

The aim of this acceleration programme is to support students to develop their own projects and company after their studies through access to creative and business coaching as well as finance. This programme has been created to follow up the Franco German initiative conference that took place in Berlin in April 2015 during the Berlin Game Week. The programme attracted strong interest with the involvement of Arte (the Franco German broadcaster) as well as the Film and Media Fund NRW based in Düsseldorf. The two schools are also developing common cursus for students as well as exchanges of professors between the two countries.

The 2 selected teams will now receive creative support of Arte France for the projects development and business support from SpielFabrique experts against a minority equity investment. The programme will kick off in September and will finish in August 2017 with a finance pitch at Gamescom in Cologne. The French team will also benefit from the All4One incubation programme offered by Cnam-Enjmin.
