Auszeichnung für "Island of the hungry Ghosts"

Der filmstiftungsgeförderte Dokumentarfilm „Island of the hungry Ghosts“ von Gabrielle Brady wurde beim renommierten Tribeca Film Festival als Bester Dokumentarfilm ausgezeichnet. Noch bis zum 29. April präsentiert das Festival den Zuschauern rund 200 Filme und zahlreiche Events. Der Debütfilm von Gabrielle Brady ist eine Koproduktion von Chromosom Film (DE), Various Films (DE), Third Films (UK) und Alex Kelly (AU) in Kooperation mit WDR. Seine Weltpremiere feierte er in der Sektion „Feature Documentary“ am 19. April. Die Film- und Medienstiftung förderte die Produktion mit 40.000 Euro.
